Originally focused on the restoration of my November 1961 built (1962 model year) Type 3 Karmann Ghia (343) I have now extended the blog to cover the ongoing ownership of my 1964 built (1965 model year) RHD type 3 Karmann Ghia (344) purchased in 1982.

Here are pictures of our 1965 model T344
We have owned this car since April 82; it had a very minor restoration in 1992 which included outer sills, localised repairs around the headlights and small repairs around the torsion bar holes, plus a six inch section of the outer chassis rail on either side. All finished off with a lower half respray. He is still looking good some 20 years later although some minor repairs are now nedeed around the torsion bar holes again and bot
tom of the drivers door.
